Selebe Yoon is pleased to announce the artist Alioune Diouf's residency aboard the floating workshop La Déparleuse in Nantes as part of the "Soigner Loire" project.

Initiated by Olive Martin and Patrick Bernier, the floating workshop and the association of the same name: La Déparleuse, were created to pursue their activities as plastic artist-weavers in the heart of Nantes and on the Grand Ouest river network, with the aim of contributing to the cultural and social life of the banks on which they sail. Launched in July 2022, this capstan-operated toue, moored on Quai Ceineray in Nantes, regularly opens its doors for introductory sessions, meetings with professionals and enthusiasts, and events on board or alongside the quay.

During his residency, Alioune Diouf will research the fauna, flora and history of sand extraction in the Loire, with a view to an exhibition in 2024.
