Exhibition - “Color Line” - Printemps Culturels, Neuchâtel - Switzerland

Including: Mbaye Diop

Selebe Yoon is pleased to announce the participation of Mbaye Diop in the group exhibition “Color Line” from May 12th to June 25th.

At the end of the Civil War, abolitionist Frederick Douglass denounced segregation with the metaphor of the "color line". Nearly sixty years after the signing of the Civil Rights Act - prohibiting all discrimination based on color, origin, gender and religion - it's clear that this "color line" is still rife in our societies.

Convinced that art is one of the most important vectors of social change, Quartier Général aims to relay the struggle waged by guest artists to abolish the borders that divide us, whether in concrete, structural or symbolic terms. The title of the exhibition pays homage to past and present struggles against racism, while the works on show question and blur this demarcation through interaction with the public.
