Exhibition - “Tactical Specters” at La Ferme du Buisson

Hamedine Kane is part of “Tactical Specters”, a collective exhibition curated by Thomas Conchou at La Ferme du Buisson CAC, Noisiel, on view until July 13, 2025

"The dead still have their say and their share of work to do. By delegation, of course, but they are present because they are well represented."

- Vinciane Despret, in her work Death at Work .

How do the deceased insist, through time, on questioning us? The voice of the dead occupies a central place in contemporary reflections, whether artistic, literary, dramaturgical, or philosophical, particularly among artists who articulate diasporic, transcultural, or minority affiliations. Oriented around the notion of hauntology , to quote the neologism of the philosopher Jacques Derrida in his work Spectres  de Marx , this project seeks to present works or interventions that carry within them voices of the past. Through them are expressed the irreconcilable contradictions that we inherit: from the mirages of modernity to the ashes of the colonial continuum. If there is only a troubled present, heavy with complexities in which we navigate, the practices of ancestrality or genealogy teach us how to build affective and intellectual lineages through time and enter into conversation with the specters that surround us.
