Hamedine Kane’s woodcut print from the series Salesman of Revolt is part of the collective exhibition “Ces voix qui m’assiègent…” curated by Émilie Goudal and Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, opening on May 16 and on view until July 13, 2024.

Organised in four chapters, the exhibition brings together projects by Algerian, French, Guadeloupean, Palestinian, Serbian, Senegalese, Lebanese, Ecuadorian and American artists - many of them former or current residents of the Cité internationale des arts - who are engaged in a dialogue. From the tutelary figures of Djamila(s), with their many faces, to the resurgence of Frantz Fanon and the convergence of transnational solidarity, to the echoes of resistance from yesterday to today, “Ces voix qui m'assiègent...”, title of a novel by Algerian author Assia Djebar, invites the public to explore a constellation of paintings, sculptures, installations, videos, films, posters and archives.
