We are pleased to announce that the installation ‘All Fragments of the World Will Come Back Here to Mend Each Other’ will be on view from February 1st until March 28th, 2024 at Leeds Arts University.

Commissioned in 2022 by the 12th Berlin Biennale, ’All Fragments of the Word Will Come Back Here to Mend Each Other’ was created by The School of Mutants members Lou Mo, Boris Raux, Valérie Osouf, Stéphane V. Bottéro and Hamedine Kane. It is a replica of the main scene of the film Bamako (dir. Abderrahmane Sissako, 2006), depicting a fictional trial in which the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank are judged for their neocolonial economic policies and the continued assault against the sovereignty of Africa’s peoples.

The installation is part of FRAC Bretagne collections.

Hamedine Kane and Stephane Verlet-Bottéro will stage a performative reading at the opening preview on February 1st, 2024 at Leeds Blenheim Walk Gallery.
