15th Dakar Biennale - Ancien Palais de Justice de Dakar

As he participates in the 15th Dakar Biennale, watch Arébénor Basséne talk about what inspires him during the creation of the monumental piece unveiled today at the Ancien Palais de Justice in Dakar. His work, “Méditez-rat-n’est-rien” (2023-2024) a series of 99 paintings, is an ode to the rich history of the Mediterranean and Sahelian regions.

Titled “The Wake, L’èveil, Le sillage, Xàll wi” and curated by Salimata Diop, the 15th Dakar Biennale runs from 7 November to 7 December 2024.
